Join Cub Scout Pack 589 for our fall camping trip at Morganton Point Campground, October 2–4! It’ll be a fun weekend of camping, outdoor activities, and time together with our Pack families.
Campsites are $98 each for the weekend. If you’d like to share a campsite—and the cost—with another family, please let us know when you sign up so we can coordinate. Please do not attempt to purchase separately or you may be separated from the pack by a good distance.
Morganton Point Campground is located in the beautiful North Georgia mountains along the shores of Lake Blue Ridge. Surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, it offers a peaceful setting with wooded campsites, scenic lake views, and plenty of room for our Pack families to enjoy the outdoors together.
Families can spend the weekend hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, picnicking, or simply relaxing around the campfire. With lake access and family-friendly recreation close to the campsites, Morganton Point is a great location for a fun and memorable Pack 589 fall camping weekend! Campground information

What to bring:
*It may be cold, either bundle up and have a good sleeping bag or possibly small space heater. Do not plug space heaters into power strips or use unsafe heaters indoors that produce CO/CO2
*Sleeping bag, sleeping pad (or air mattress), pillow
*Tent (two 6-man tents allowed per site maximum), 6 people max per site
*Toiletries: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush (bath houses located on site)
*Food for Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, and Sunday breakfast
*Bottled water or sports drinks are a good idea if it’s hot (and a cooler of ice!)
*Cookware/camp stove/fuel (water & electric power available on each site)
*BIKES (with helmets per park rules) /games like bean bag toss, fishing poles and gear, etc.
*Cameras and video cameras
*Flashlights/headlamp
